COMMENTS - The blade has been Shaw-Leibowitz engraved showing Lewis, Clark and Sacagawea paddling a canoe on the Missouri river amongst thick forest vegetation with mountains in the background below a waving ribbon which reads "LEWIS & CLARK 1805". The figures and canoe are plated in 24k gold; banner, oars and supplies are plated in copper and the background is ink blacked to provide contrast. The blade is signed by the artists and numbered #17/300" This offering started out to be 300 knives but only 144 knives were etched by Shaw-Leibowitz.
