WTCA025 | Marcus Lin | "Dixon" Fighter | #25
There is no doubt that in the world of handmade knives there was no bigger influencer than Robert W. Loveless. Loveless was the pioneer of handmade high-performance knives from modern materials that looked as good as they worked. His legendary designs like the drop point hunter, sub-hilt fighter, chute knife and his embrace of high-performance steel and handle materials were the genesis of the current industry of handmade custom cutlery across the world. Loveless was an American institution who freely trained a multitude of young makers in his signature rakish styling and build techniques up until his death in 2010.
This flawless rendition of the Loveless Dixon Fighter by esteemed knifemaker Marcus Lin exhibits incredible double-hollow grinding and mirror polish that is second to none. The handle of flat sawn, polished stabilized black walnut burl is a perfect contrast to the mirror polished ATS-34 stainless steel blade and hand stitched sheath. The feel, balance and construction of the Dixon are all impeccable and we are pleased to offer this unique kife to our customers.
The Dixon Fighter is a rarely encountered Loveless fighter pattern and is sought after by collectors worldwide as a pure example of a classic fighting knife design.
